<p align="justify">OBJETIVO GENERAL <br />Profundizar el estudio de la prosodia del discurso oral en español y en inglés, y desarrollar nuevas propuestas de enseñanza que respondan a las necesidades y desafíos de la actualidad.<br /><br />OBJETIVOS ESPECÍFICOS <br />1. Estudiar y comparar la prosodia en el discurso oral en español rioplatense y en inglés como L1. <br />a. Estudiar y hacer una comparación intralingüística de la organización interna de distintos dominios prosódicos según diferentes contextos comunicativos. <br />b. Explorar la interacción de distintos parámetros acústicos para la caracterización de dominios prosódicos en la producción y percepción del discurso oral. <br />2. Estudiar la prosodia del discurso oral en inglés y en español como lenguas adicionales. <br />a. Caracterizar la organización interna de distintos dominios prosódicos del discurso oral en aprendientes de una L2. <br />b. Estudiar la relación entre prosodia, identidad y multiculturalidad en aprendientes de una L2. <br />3. Realizar propuestas didácticas para la enseñanza/aprendizaje de la producción y percepción de lenguas adicionales. <br />a. Diseñar actividades áulicas multimodales para la enseñanza/aprendizaje de la pronunciación del español y del inglés como lenguas adicionales. <br />b. Evaluar los efectos de la implementación de las propuestas didácticas en aprendientes de L2. <br /><br /></p>

Se presenta un abordaje de textos académicos en inglés fundamentado en el marco teórico de IPE y la teoría de géneros textuales. El modelo didáctico elegido combina la clase comunicativa y la invertida. Los resultados dan cuenta de la importancia de desarrollar las competencias discursiva y sociocultural y la alfabetización académica en la L1 y la L2.</span></p>

<p align="justify">Como recurso didáctico para la enseñanza de ILE, las leyendas tienen el potencial de<span>fomentar la comprensión lectora, ofrecen el contexto ideal para enseñar ciertos ítems lingüísticos, proporcionan explicaciones de fenómenos naturales y suscitan vívidos debates acerca de temas complejos en la enseñanza de ILE. Asimismo, constituyen una fuente abundante de cadenas de palabras identificadas como secuencias formulaicas (SSFF)(Wray, 2002). Sin embargo, a diferencia de la adquisición de una L1, en la que estas frases se adquieren naturalmente, en el </span><span>aprendizaje de un idioma extranjero, los aprendices no suelen dar cuenta de la ubicuidad de </span><span>estas </span><span>SSFF, </span><span>probablemente debido </span><span>a </span><span>enfoques </span><span>de </span><span>enseñanza </span><span>tradicionales </span><span>centrados </span><span>en </span><span>unidades </span><span>léxicas separadas </span><span>y </span><span>una </span><span>exposición </span><span>insuficiente </span><span>a </span><span>la L2. </span><span>Precisamente, </span><span>las </span><span>SSFF </span><span>pueden </span><span>considerarse </span><span>«</span><i>big</i><span><i>words</i></span>» <span>(palabras </span><span>máscomplejas) </span><span>(Thornbury, 2019, </span><span>p.</span><span>15), </span><span>por </span><span>lo </span><span>que su enseñanza no debería diferir considerablemente de aquella para palabras aisladas. </span><span>Los </span><span>principios </span><span>para </span><span>la </span><span>enseñanza eficiente </span><span>de </span><span>vocabulario </span><span>de </span><span>Nation </span><span>(2001) </span><span>y </span><span>los </span><span>aportes de Lindstromberg y Boers (2008) promueven el hecho de que se focalice la </span><span>atención de los estudiantes de ILE en las SSFF identificadas en los textos trabajados, seles brinde práctica guiada y sostenida, y se les ofrezcan oportunidades para practicar dichas </span><span>SSFF </span><span>en </span><span>contextos significativos.</span></p>
<p align="justify"><span>La finalidad de esta presentación </span><span>es presentar </span><span>a la </span><span>audiencia </span><span>los </span><span>principios </span><span>teóricos </span><span>básicos </span><span>que subyacen la enseñanza de un grupo de SSFF extraídas de una leyenda para niños. </span><span>Posteriormente, se expondrán los criterios de selección y verificación de la frecuencia de</span><span>dichas </span><span>SSFF, </span><span>junto </span><span>con </span><span>una </span><span>descripción </span><span>del </span><span>proceso </span><span>de </span><span>adaptación </span><span>del </span><span>material </span><span>al </span><span>nivel </span><span>de </span><span>los </span><span>estudiantes y de diseño de actividades. Finalmente, se compartirán algunas recomendaciones </span><span>prácticas </span><span>para </span><span>la </span><span>enseñanza </span><span>y </span><span>el aprendizaje </span><span>de SSFF. </span><span>Se </span><span>espera que </span>esta ponencia sensibilice a los profesores de ILE sobre los beneficios de la adopción de<span>un enfoque formulaico de enseñanza de vocabulario a partir del uso de una leyenda y les</span><span>brinde</span><span>las herramientas para </span><span>el diseño de planificaciones para tal fin.</span></p>
<strong>ABSTRACT.</strong> As educational tools, legends can strengthen L2 learners’ reading skills, contextualize specific language points, explain natural phenomena, and spark off lively debate about complex issues in the EFL classroom. They can also provide L2 learners with a rich diet of strings of words, which have been named “formulaic sequences” (FSs) by Wray (2002). Lindstromberg & Boers (2008) suggest that an extensive repertoire of these readymade units impacts positively on fluent writing and speaking and facilitates readingand listening comprehension as these sequences act as “islands of accuracy” (Lindstromberg & Boers, 2008) L2 learners can cling to while processing language (in bits). However, unlike L1 learners who can acquire these phrases effortlessly, L2 learnersfind it hard to notice the ubiquity of these phrases probably due to years of a word- focused, vocabulary teaching approach and insufficient exposure to the target language. In fact, FSs are like “big words” (Thornbury, 2019), so teaching individual words or FSsshould not differ considerably. Following Nation’s processes of learning vocabulary (2001) and Lindstromberg & Boers’ principles of effective vocabulary teaching (2008), EFL teachers are encouraged to draw their learners’ attention to FSs in any type of text, provide these learners with guided, consistent practice on the target FSs, and offer them opportunities to produce the selected chunks in meaningful contexts. This presentation aims at introducing the audience to the basic theoretical principles underlying the explicit instruction of some FSs selected from a legend for children. A set of steps concerning the selection criteria and verification of frequency of the target FSs will be outlined, together with a description of the process of material adaptation to the learner proficiency level and lesson design. Finally, some practical recommendations on the teaching and learning of FSs will be shared. This presentation is expected to sensitize EFL teachers to the pedagogical benefits of adopting a FS-based vocabulary teaching approach when working on a legend and equip them with some essential, useful tools for the design of their lesson plans.

Como recurso didáctico para la enseñanza de ILE, las leyendas tienen el potencial defomentar la comprensión lectora, ofrecen el contexto ideal para enseñar ciertos ítems lingüísticos, proporcionan explicaciones de fenómenos naturales y suscitan vívidos debates acerca de temas complejos en la enseñanza de ILE. Asimismo, constituyen una fuente abundante de cadenas de palabras identificadas como secuencias formulaicas (SSFF)(Wray, 2002). Lindstrombergy Boers (2008) sugieren que un repertorio exhaustivo de dichas unidades prefabricadas afectan positivamente la producción oral y escrita, y facilitan la comprensión lectora y auditiva, ya que actúan como una suerte de «islands of accuracy» (islas de precisión) (Lindstromberg y Boers, 2008, p. 9) a las que los aprendientes pueden aferrarse mientras procesan la L1. Sin embargo, a diferencia de la adquisición de una L1, en la que estas frases se adquieren naturalmente, en el aprendizaje de un idioma extranjero, los aprendices no suelen dar cuenta de la ubicuidad de estas SSFF, probablemente debido a enfoques de enseñanza tradicionales centrados en unidades léxicas separadas y una exposición insuficiente a la L2. Precisamente, las SSFF pueden considerarse «bigwords» (palabras máscomplejas) (Thornbury, 2019, p.15), por lo que su enseñanza no debería diferir considerablemente de aquella para palabras aisladas. Los principios para la enseñanza eficiente de vocabulario de Nation (2001) y los aportes de Lindstromberg y Boers (2008) promueven el hecho de que se focalice la atención de los estudiantes de ILE en las SSFF identificadas en los textos trabajados, seles brinde práctica guiada y sostenida, y se les ofrezcan oportunidades para practicar dichas SSFF en contextos significativos.
La finalidad de esta presentación es presentar a la audiencia los principios teóricos básicos que subyacen la enseñanza de un grupo de SSFF extraídas de una leyenda para niños. Posteriormente, se expondrán los criterios de selección y verificación de la frecuencia dedichas SSFF, junto con una descripción del proceso de adaptación del material al nivel de los estudiantes y de diseño de actividades. Finalmente, se compartirán algunas recomendaciones prácticas para la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de SSFF. Se espera que esta ponencia sensibilice a los profesores de ILE sobre los beneficios de la adopción deun enfoque formulaico de enseñanza de vocabulario a partir del uso de una leyenda y lesbrindelas herramientas para el diseño de planificaciones para tal fin.

Las SSFF son parte integral de la lengua en un contexto determinado y su uso proporciona una forma más natural y auténtica de comunicarse en ILE (Lindstromberg & Boers, 2008, Conklin, 2020). Sin embargo, para estos aprendientes, su incorporación se convierte en un desafío considerando el contacto limitado con la lengua. Es por ello que surge la necesidad de adoptar un enfoque explícito de enseñanza y aprendizaje de vocabulario basado en SSFF (Lindstromberg & Boers, 2008, Thornbury, 2019, Boers, 2020) que promueva el reconocimiento, recuperación y uso espontáneo de las mismas (Nation, 2001) en pos de una comunicación natural eficiente. <br />El objetivo de este trabajo es realizar un análisis preliminar de las percepciones registradas en las bitácoras de una docente de inglés a cargo de dos grupos de 12 y 18 estudiantes respectivamente, de nivel de proficiencia elemental (MCER), de una escuela estatal primaria de la provincia de Río Negro, sobre una propuesta didáctica basada en una canción y una leyenda en inglés para la enseñanza explícita de 13 SSFF. La docente utilizó dos bitácoras, una para cada grupo, que completó durante el ciclo lectivo 2023 e informó a través de un audio o mensaje de Whatsapp. Para cada una de estas entradas, se le propuso a la docente reflexionar sobre el funcionamiento de la propuesta didáctica, la reacción de sus estudiantes y la identificación de dificultades además de la explicitación de las tareas completadas hasta ese momento. En total, se documentaron 12 entradas para cada grupo, las cuales fueron utilizadas para rastrear y examinar sus apreciaciones en relación al efecto general de la propuesta diseñada y desprender información valiosa para el diseño de posibles secuencias didácticas para la enseñanza de SFs para aprendices de ILE o cualquier otra lengua del nivel primario.</p>
