Abstract

Myths are found in different fields. In this essay we focus on the myth of difficulty in relation to an apparent lack of reasoning. In order to question this myth, we propose an account of one of the most characteristic instruments in Argentinian popular music, the bandoneon, and of the alleged difficulty associated with some languages. Our goal is to show that this myth is not only false for languages and bandoneons, but it also may result in dangerous consequences for both.</text>
