Furthermore, self-perception of preparedness exceeded 93%. The intervention was highly effective, allowing young people to question the "flexibility" discourse of the platform economy and recognize the precarity and externalization of risks it implies. Firstly, a general overview of translator and interpreter training in the Argentinian university system is presented. After making a brief reference to the current situation of translation profession and Translation Studies, translation is defined as a cognitive, executive and social process that can be acquired. Taking these concepts into account, the skills and knowledge needed to carry out this complex (translation) process are identified in the different components of translator training programmes.
