Abstract
A summary of the resource.
OBJETIVO GENERAL<br />
<p align="justify">Este proyecto tiene como objetivo promover el derecho a una educación plurilingüe e intercultural, de equidad y calidad, mediante el desarrollo de la dimensión de ciudadanía intercultural. Se utilizará como marco estructurante el Aprendizaje Integrado de Contenidos y Lenguas Extranjeras (AICLE); utilizando el idioma inglés como puente de diálogo intercultural a modo de complemento de los contenidos abordados en las clases que se desarrollan en español y lengua mapuche de una escuela primaria rural de la provincia del Neuquén.<br /><br />OBJETIVOS ESPECIFICOS<br />1) Relevar en el contexto escolar el tipo de contenidos posibles de implementar basándonos en las pedagogías AICLE y en el concepto de educación en ciudadanía intercultural en las clases de inglés.<br />2) Elaborar criterios para el diseño de secuencias didácticas tendientes a trascender el propósito instrumental de la enseñanza de lenguas adicionales y a fomentar prácticas formativas relacionadas con el desarrollo de una ciudadanía intercultural.<br />3) Diseñar secuencias didácticas para desarrollar los contenidos curriculares relacionados al desarrollo de una ciudadanía intercultural.<br />4) Implementar dichas secuencias didácticas de manera colaborativa entre los docentes de la escuela primaria rural y el equipo de investigación.<br />5) Evaluar el impacto en los/ las aprendientes de esta metodología teniendo en cuenta los aspectos formativos de la enseñanza de una lengua adicional contextualmente situada.<br />6) Evaluar el rediseño de las secuencias didácticas de acuerdo a los resultados obtenidos.<br /><br /><br /></p>

OBJETIVO GENERAL<br />
<p align="justify">Este proyecto tiene como objetivo promover el derecho a una educación plurilingüe e intercultural, de equidad y calidad, mediante el desarrollo de la dimensión de ciudadanía intercultural. Sustainability has become a central concern in light of the environmental, social, and economic challenges that threaten global well-being. However, its frequent use often lacks scientific precision. Morelli (2011) defines it as the condition in which human needs are met without compromising the regenerative capacity of ecosystems, emphasizing the interdependence between environmental, social, and economic systems. In higher education, universities can serve as “living laboratories” to promote sustainability and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (Purcell et al., 2019). Based on this premise, we conducted a quantitative study among users of the common spaces at the National University of Comahue to learn about their perspectives before and after implementing awareness interventions on the use of these spaces and to determine whether their conditions impact productivity. The results show that, after the changes were made and awareness was raised about their use, users tend to remember to care for them and therefore feel more comfortable, which in turn increases their productivity.

Durante el año 2025, la Cátedra de Inglés de la Facultad de Economía, a cargo de la profesora María Belén Martínez del Departamento de Idiomas con Propósitos Específicos, desarrolló un trabajo basado en proyectos. A lo largo del cursado, los estudiantes llevaron adelante proyectos de investigación–servicio en los que articularon sus saberes de inglés con los contenidos propios de sus carreras y con la resolución de problemáticas reales de la comunidad. El proceso incluyó la lectura y el análisis de textos académicos en inglés para la elaboración del marco teórico, la selección de un problema relevante, el diseño e implementación de una metodología de investigación, y la comparación de resultados con los aportes de autores especializados. Cada proyecto culminó con la redacción de un informe final en formato de paper, presentado en español e inglés, siguiendo una plantilla estandarizada.

New perspectives on vocabulary learning and teaching have shifted away from the conception of vocabulary as merely single words to adopt a more comprehensive approach that includes formulaic sequences. These expressions, defined by Wray (2002) as a string “continuous or discontinuous of words […] that is stored and retrieved whole from memory at the time of use” (p. 7), amount to approximately 52 % of written discourse, according to Erman and Warren (2000). This “pervasiveness” becomes evident in fictional narrative texts such as myths and legends, which additionally share unique grammatical, lexical and stylistic features. The wealthy lexical content that pervades these text types certainly deserves special treatment in the EFL classroom. Both myths and legends offer an array of formulaic expressions that can be explicitly taught not only to enrich learners’ vocabulary, but also to boost their receptive and productive skills. To start with, the audience will be given a brief introduction to what a formulaic sequence is and the benefits that EFL learners can derive from becoming aware of them and using them effectively. Subsequently, they will read an abridged version of a legend for a group of children. After that, they will be presented with a set of pre-reading tasks, which they will have to order considering their linguistic and task complexity. Once their didactic sequences have been discussed, they will be briefly introduced to Nation (2001)’s three processes for learning a lexical item: noticing, retrieval and generative use. Afterwards, they will solve and analyse a series of while-reading tasks aimed at helping EFL learners to both notice a set of selected formulaic sequences and re-use them through more or less guided practice. During their group discussion, they will fill in a checklist through which they will reflect upon the type of task, the context for each task and the possibility for EFL learners to predict the meaning of these chunks, among some other relevant features. Finally, different post-reading tasks will prompt the participants to discuss the possibility for learners to employ the selected formulaic sequences in a new context. We invite participants to genuinely embrace our proposal, discovering in them texts which abound in sequences worth teaching due to the considerable advantages they offer EFL learners.
