<p><em>Introduction</em><br />Advanced learners of a foreign language are known to find a number of difficulties not only with respect to accuracy but also phraseologically. They seem to reach a plateau from which it is hard to spring to higher levels of proficiency, which Long (2003) refers to as “a general non-nativelike attainment”. Second language studies have proved there comes a point in foreign language learning when learners seem unable to overcome the obstacles their own performance errors pose to their linguistic development. Adult learners in particular claim they “know” that what they have written is a mistake but only once it has been pointed out by teachers in the feedback do they become aware of it. This phenomenon is not unfamiliar to students at Facultad de Lenguas. In order to address this problem and to help them develop self-reflection and autonomy, teachers of English IV during 2011 encouraged learners to use an Individual Mistake Frequency Log (IMFL hereafter) (Ferris, 2002:332), in which they were invited to record their mistakes, possible corrections and the reference book they might resort to so as to cope with these difficulties. Students were allowed to consult their IMFLs during in-class written assignments and exams. The aim of this study is to evaluate the impact of the IMFL on students‟ written work over time and thus ascertain the degree of grammar reflection learners engaged in, during the experience, as regards their performance in writing. To this effect, 105 written assignments by ten different students are analyzed to track the evolution of a number of specific mistakes, especially those that compromise written communication severely, namely, a) missing subjects, b) the absence of an obligatory determiner and c) incorrect verb patterns including passive participles and unaccussative structures. Likewise, we explore participants‟ answers to a written questionnaire on the use t hey made of the mistake logs and their role with respect to their learning process. In this paper we will present the analysis of the written assignments and the correlation between the mistakes present in these, those recorded individually in the IMFLs and learners‟ perceptions.</p>

<p>Jerónimo de Aguilar nació en Écija, España en el año 1489 y falleció aproximadamente en 1531 (el año exacto de su muerte se desconoce). En 1512 <a href="http://www.mcnbiografias.com/app-bio/do/show?key=nunnez-de-balboa-vasco">Vasco Núñez de Balboa</a> fue enviado con <a href="http://www.mcnbiografias.com/app-bio/do/show?key=valdivia-pedro-de">Valdivia</a> en una expedición para que llevaran a sus autoridades noticias de la región y de las riquezas auríferas que contenía. La nave de Valdivia enfrentó una gran tormenta y terminó varada en Yucatán, donde naufragó. Todos sus tripulantes murieron excepto dos supervivientes que fueron Gonzalo Guerrero y Jerónimo de Aguilar. El primero de ellos aceptó la cultura indígena y se convirtió en uno de ellos, mientras que Aguilar fue convertido en esclavo, ya que se negó a formar parte de su comunidad. En este tiempo fue obligado a aprender la lengua maya.</p>
<p> En 1519 Hernán Cortés fue enviado en una misión a la isla de Cozumel, en la península de Yucatán, en busca de náufragos españoles que habían sido tomados como prisioneros por los mayas. En este rescate Cortés se encuentra con Aguilar y Guerrero, el segundo no aceptó volver a su tierra, ya que él ya pertenecía a los mayas, hasta había formado una familia. En el caso de Aguilar, él sí fue liberado y se convirtió en un <span style="text-decoration: underline;"></span><a href="http://bibliotecadelenguas.uncoma.edu.ar/items/show/402">trujamán</a> quien trabajó para Cortés en sus planes de conquista. De esta manera, Aguilar se convirtió en una figura central de la conquista de México, ya que dominaba la lengua maya tan eficazmente como el castellano. Junto con la Malinche fueron considerados las dos llaves lingüísticas más importantes para tal conquista.</p>

<p text="" align="justify">Se trató de una serie de iniciativas culturales que tuvieron lugar en la ciudad de Toledo (para luego dispersarse), que obedecían a un plan e impulso común, emprendidas y protegidas por el rey de Castilla Alfonso X el Sabio: la traducción de textos de distintos campos de la ciencia. Con este fin en común, se reunieron estudiosos cristianos, judíos y musulmanes que trabajaron conjuntamente en la investigación y traducción al castellano y al latín de distintas obras, para transmitirlas posteriormente al resto de la Europa medieval. Aunque esta iniciativa agrupó muchos traductores, no puede asegurarse la existencia de una institución como hoy la conocemos (no existían los colegios de traducción).</p>
<p text="" align="justify">La Escuela de Toledo contó con dos periodos: el primero, la época Raimundiana (1130-1187), impulsado por el arzobispo don Raimundo Jiménez de Rada; y el segundo, la época Alfonsina (1252-1287) su periodo más importante, dirigida por Alfonso X: traducciones de los tratados de astronomía física, alquimia y matemáticas.</p>

Se trató, entonces, de traducciones libres: el traductor se tomaba ciertas libertades en pro del buen gusto. Se creía que los clásicos estaban desactualizados, eran de mal gusto, es por esto que en estas traducciones se tendía más hacia el polo de la aceptabilidad (que al de la adaptación). En la traducciones “bellas infieles” se evitaba el empleo de términos que fueran contra las costumbres y la buena moral -- palabras como ‘orgía’, ‘borrachera’ y ‘sodomía’ eran evitadas.<br />La expresión <i>les belles infidèles </i>se le atribuye a Ménage, quien dijo respecto de las traducciones de Nicolas Perrot d’Ablancourt, “me recuerdan a una mujer que amé mucho en Tours, y que era bella pero infiel”.</p>

This paper analyzes the potential of Grindelia chiloensis, a native species of arid environments, which was studied as a tool for mitigating erosion and desertification in degraded soils. The research was conducted in a sector of Parque Norte (Neuquén) with characteristics similar to those of areas affected by small-scale fires. Soil samples were collected, physicochemical parameters (pH, moisture, electrical conductivity, N, P, and K) were measured, and a germination test was performed under controlled conditions. The results show that the soil, despite its loss of vegetation cover, maintains adequate levels of fertility and stability. Germination reached 50%, confirming the adaptation of the species G. chiloensis to clay soils. The findings suggest that revegetation with native species represents an effective strategy to restore degraded soils and reduce erosion in arid and semi-arid environments.

Durante el año 2025, la Cátedra de Inglés de la Licenciatura en Ciencias Geológicas (Facultad de Ingeniería), a cargo de la profesora María Belén Martínez del Departamento de Idiomas con Propósitos Específicos, desarrolló un trabajo basado en proyectos. A lo largo del cursado, los estudiantes llevaron adelante proyectos de investigación–servicio en los que articularon sus saberes de inglés con los contenidos propios de sus carreras y con la resolución de problemáticas reales de la comunidad. El proceso incluyó la lectura y el análisis de textos académicos en inglés para la elaboración del marco teórico, la selección de un problema relevante, el diseño e implementación de una metodología de investigación, y la comparación de resultados con los aportes de autores especializados. Cada proyecto culminó con la redacción de un informe final en formato de paper, presentado en español e inglés, siguiendo una plantilla estandarizada.

Si bien existen numerosos trabajos sobre los adjetivos y los participios en el castellano, no parece suceder lo mismo, hasta donde sabemos, en inglés. El objetivo del presente estudio es comprobar la relación existente entre el aspecto y la posición de los modificadores en la frase nominal en inglés. A tal efecto, se recurrirá a la teoría de los eventos y a la clasificación de los predicados en los de nivel episódico y los de nivel individual. Nuestra conclusión es que, en inglés, solo los primeros son postnominales y manifiestan el aspecto, determinado por la existencia del argumento davidsoniano.</p>

Entre otros temas, se ha discutido cómo incluir la información aspectual en la entrada léxica de los predicados. <p style="text-align: justify;"><span>Portafolio electrónico creado en la cátedra Programa del Idioma Requisito INGLÉS, Nivel II: Portafolios Electrónicos. <strong><a href="https://padlet.com/yoryi_flores_24/9cbz2qb1kl6g" target="_blank">VER PORTAFOLIO</a></strong></span><br /><br />El texto seleccionado es una investigación acerca de cómo en los distintos formatos audiovisuales se realizan las traducciones tanto cuando se trata de subtítulos como de doblaje. La iniciativa del investigador es comparar las decisiones que toman en cada caso el director de doblaje y el director de subtítulos. Para ello, tomó como ejemplo material audiovisual inglés traducido al francés.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">La autora se propone analizar tres películas en su versión subtitulada y doblada, éstas son: The Piano, Smoke, Blue in the face. Además utiliza la serie de televisión NYPD Blue, el noticiero CBS News y el documental Welcome to The Human Race.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">A lo largo de su análisis resalta tanto los puntos “fuertes y débiles” de las escenas con subtítulos o con doblaje, teniendo en cuenta también los géneros con los que trata. Según Pettit, no es lo mismo subtitular un noticiero o una película con lenguaje “formal” que usar el doblaje, puesto que para gran parte de los espectadores sería mucho más fácil escuchar frases sencillas que leer términos complejos.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">La investigadora entiende que él lenguaje no verbal es un factor muy importante a la hora de doblar una película o una serie, porque eso tiene una gran injerencia en el contenido verbal. El profesional de subtitulado y dobaje, altera sus traducciones para corresponder más apropiadamente lo que se dice con lo que ocurre en la expresividad corporal del actor, apelando a volver implícito lo explícito.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">En tanto, en el doblaje es importante que exista una coincidencia fonéticamente correcta entre lo que se dice y lo que muestra la imagen, por lo cual, los cambios respecto de la frase literal son más frecuentes que en los subtítulos. Sin embargo, el subtitulador también realiza modificaciones con respecto a la imagen. Por ejemplo, cuando considera que los movimientos bruscos de escena pueden afectar la lectura del espectador, apela a frases más cortas que las realmente expresadas en la traducción literal. Esto puede ser utilizado como estrategia para generar un vínculo entre el nuevo diálogo y la imagen.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">El doblajista también debe hacer uso de distintos tonos, intensidades, y hasta con movimientos corporales que aportan a las frases para que, de esta manera, el lenguaje no verbal también se exprese junto con las imágenes.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Otro de los eventuales cambios que puedan darse en los subtítulos es cuando la entonación y acentuación vocal lo demanda. La ironía por ejemplo cambia drásticamente lo que dice el texto y requiere un refuerzo por parte de la traducción de los subtítulos. En el doblaje es más fácil de representar porque es parte del trabajo del actor que está sujeto al doblaje, actuar las emociones a través de la voz.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">En conclusión, el autor destaca que la información no verbal (la imagen, entre otros) afecta tremendamente el destino de las traducciones. No sólo se aspira a una coincidencia literal de sentido, si no que se trabaja para que las intenciones a nivel sonoro, el lenguaje no verbal, los movimientos vocales de los actores que se esfuerzan en ayudar a la comprensión de los espectadores sin perder los sentidos que busca mostrar la versión original. Con la diferencia elemental que en las películas y la serie pretenden traducir el espíritu del trabajo sin focalizar en los decires literales, en cambio, el noticiero y el documental la estética no es fundamental, pero sí lo es mantener el diálogo para que la audiencia lo reciba lo más fiel posible.<br /><br /><strong><a href="https://padlet.com/yoryi_flores_24/9cbz2qb1kl6g" target="_blank">VER PORTAFOLIO</a></strong></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Firstly, it is important to know that subtitling transposes spoken dialogue into written text in the form of one or two lines at the bottom of the screen. Secondly, dubbing necessitates the grafting of a voice belonging to a different person onto the actor appearing on the screen. Sound track and image are necessary to create meaning. Sounds, vocal intonation, visual signs, gestures, postures, editing techniques all combine to create a message for the viewer to interpret.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The audio-visual texts chosen belong to a range of genres allowing a comparative analysis of their impact upon subtitling and dubbing. Westerns, musicals and detective films, for example, all have definable characteristics. The genre creates a certain style of expression and consequently affects how the translator transposes the original dialogue. Audio-visual genres, are characterised by different discourse patterns and function in different ways. For example, In films and television series a</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">“performance” takes place. In news programmes, the presenter follows a pre-defined format. In a documentary, the speakers are closest to “being themselves”, they are not performing a role or following theatrical norms. The conversations are spontaneous and natural.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">When the author talks about Language and culture, he says that both inextricably linked. In a subtitled version it is evident that the film or programme is foreign as we hear the original dialogues. However, in a dubbed version, the actors speak the public’s language. Therefore, the image reveals elements which point to the “nationality” of the film. In a subtitled version the viewer hears the dialogue in another language, reads the subtitle and watches the picture. In a dubbed version, the viewer listens to a translated version of the original dialogues while watching the original image. In the same way as language can be broken down into different components which hold meaning, so too can culture-specific elements. Body language or “physical expressiveness” (Shochat and Stam, 1985: 51-52) may be culturally determined. Viewers of a foreign film or television programme come into contact with another way of perceiving the world.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">We have just seen that The audio-visual text allows the viewer to observe different forms of behaviour in a variety of situations. Tone of voice, intonation, gestures may all affect the way in which the verbal content is perceived. The audio-visual medium enables the viewer to experience different forms of expression. Kendon (1981: 8) refers to Poyatos and concludes that it is extremely difficult for a writer to transmit the richness of human communication when it comes to non-verbal communication. As subtitling is a written form of the language we could say that it experiences similar limitations. At the same time, the soundtrack helps to replace some of the information omitted from the subtitles. In case of the examples analyze by the author, the dubber often prefers to standardise and simplify the dialogues. Similarly, the subtitler alters the original utterance according to the gestures and the action.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">To sum up, the audio-visual genre does seem to affect the transposition of the dialogues. In essence, when transposing a film or television series, the translators tend to portray to their audience the spirit and heart of the work, rather than striving to provide a pure literal translation of the spoken words. With the news programme and the documentary, the subtitler prefers to remain very close to the original dialogue ensuring that the audience will receive the essential facts with aesthetic concerns being of lesser importance.</p>

<p text="" align="justify">El objeto de este trabajo es la traducción de una colección de diversos poemas del autor inglés de ascendencia jamaiquina Benjamin Zephaniah. Sus poemas me resultaron muy interesantes por la forma en la que están escritos, ya que se hace uso del inglés criollo jamaiquino, al mismo nivel que el inglés estándar. En otras palabras, no hay ningún tipo de marca tipográfica que señale que una expresión o estructura sintáctica no es propia del inglés estándar. Esto supuso una dificultad de traducción, al igual que la escritura no convencional de ciertos vocablos. Esta escritura no convencional se debe a la dislexia que padece el escritor, la cual le facilita “escribir las palabras como se dicen más que como se leen en los libros” (Brockes, 2014). Otros aspectos interesantes son los patrones métricos y de rima irregulares y los términos propios de la cultura de origen.<br />El presente trabajo consta de las siguientes partes: una biografía del autor; una descripción del género al que corresponde el texto base; un análisis formal y sociopolítico de los textos; las estrategias para traducir poesía y la traducción de textos en dialecto; el concepto de polisistema y su utilidad para la práctica traductora; el texto base y su traducción, precedidos de un breve prólogo donde explico a rasgos generales mis decisiones respecto del léxico y las estructuras sintácticas; un registro de los problemas y dificultades encontrados y las soluciones adoptadas. Por último, a continuación de las referencias, se incluye un anexo donde aparecen transcriptos los intercambios que tuve con el autor para resolver algunas dificultades puntuales. </p>

En dos escuelas secundarias nocturnas en la ciudad de General Roca se llevó a cabo una experiencia de lecto-comprensión con foco en la adquisición de secuencias formulaicas discursivas de tipo cronológico-temporales. En el marco de un proyecto para desarrollar la competencia intercultural en tercero y cuarto año, los estudiantes de edades entre 18 y 20 leyeron e interpretaron leyendas de Mapuches, y pueblos originarios de Filipinas y Norteamérica para luego producir sus propias versiones. Se trabajó con leyendas como género literario en un intento de relacionar ejes de conocimiento dentro del área lengua y literatura en un contexto AICLE (Aprendizaje Integrado de Contenido y Lengua Extranjera), donde según Coyle et al. (2010:1) “una segunda lengua es empleada para la enseñanza y el aprendizaje tanto de la lengua extranjera como del contenido mismo”. La experiencia áulica consistió en una serie de actividades guiadas con el objetivo de activar los procesos que Nation (2001) postula para brindar a los estudiantes oportunidades suficientes para propiciar la adquisición de vocabulario: identificar, recuperar y emplear generativamente. En este trabajo describimos los resultados del análisis de las producciones finales de los alumnos en formato de leyenda y discutimos las variaciones introducidas por ellos en las secuencias seleccionadas. Sus escritos demuestran que se apropiaron de las secuencias formulaicas en el idioma extranjero ya que pudieron hacer un uso espontáneo efectivo de las mismas en el marco de este género discursivo.

Durante la pandemia del COVID 19 del 2020, en el sistema universitario, tuvimos la necesidad de adaptar la enseñanza presencial a un entorno virtual. Por ello, repensamos la metodología y las actividades de la materia Didáctica Especial y Residencia I (DEyRI) de la carrera de Profesorado de Inglés de la Universidad Nacional del Comahue, cuya carga horaria es de siete horas semanales. Para poder lograr este cambio, se optó por la metodología de la Clase Invertida donde se maximiza el tiempo de interacción en los encuentros con los estudiantes.
Empleamos, además, la enseñanza a través de videos y tareas específicas para la lectura de la bibliografía requerida, presentando la teoría de manera más dinámica. Finalizado el periodo de aislamiento y con la vuelta a las aulas, se rediseñó el dictado presencial post- pandemia teniendo en cuenta al perfil del estudiante actual y el rol de las nuevas tecnologías en la enseñanza superior. Por lo tanto, en este trabajo, se presenta el diseño e implementación de una experiencia de enseñanza híbrida para la mencionada asignatura a lo largo de cuatro años.
La metodología combina elementos presenciales y virtuales, aprovechando las nuevas tecnologías para potenciar el aprendizaje y la participación de los alumnos. Se examinan los desafíos y beneficios de la educación híbrida, así como el rol del docente y el estudiante en este entorno. Además, se presenta la comparación con el modelo tradicional de enseñanza en el sistema universitario analizando los resultados de encuestas y entrevistas a estudiantes.

The present study analyzes the impact of didactic innovation on improving student participation within teaching processes. Starting from the theoretical framework of contemporary authors in pedagogy and educational technology, active strategies—such as the use of digital tools and playful dynamics—were implemented in a payroll calculation course taught at the popular library “Eliel Aragón” in the city of Neuquén. The research, utilizing a qualitative approach and an observation and intervention design, sought to increase student participation by at least 75%. The results demonstrated an increase from 40% to 80% in the active intervention of students following teacher training oriented toward the use of innovative methodologies. It was evidenced that student-centered learning, mediated by technology and play, favors motivation, comprehension, and critical thinking. While the findings confirm the relevance of pedagogical innovation for raising educational quality, limitations derived from the small sample size and the specific context of the study are recognized. It is recommended that future research be expanded to different educational areas and levels, in order to validate the sustainability and generalization of these results.

Durante el año 2025, la Cátedra de Inglés de la Facultad de Economía, a cargo de la profesora María Belén Martínez del Departamento de Idiomas con Propósitos Específicos, desarrolló un trabajo basado en proyectos. A lo largo del cursado, los estudiantes llevaron adelante proyectos de investigación–servicio en los que articularon sus saberes de inglés con los contenidos propios de sus carreras y con la resolución de problemáticas reales de la comunidad. El proceso incluyó la lectura y el análisis de textos académicos en inglés para la elaboración del marco teórico, la selección de un problema relevante, el diseño e implementación de una metodología de investigación, y la comparación de resultados con los aportes de autores especializados. Cada proyecto culminó con la redacción de un informe final en formato de paper, presentado en español e inglés, siguiendo una plantilla estandarizada.

<p align="justify">Desde fines de la década de los 70, diferentes lingüistas han dedicado sus esfuerzos a refutar las observaciones del trabajo de Vidal de Battini titulado <em>El español de la Argentina</em>, de 1964. Trabajos como los de Acuña (1987), Malvestitti (1993), Acuña & Menegotto (1996), Virkel (2004), Fernández (2005), entre otros, se han esforzado por mostrar que el español hablado en las zonas rurales de la Patagonia presenta numerosas particularidades. A nivel prosódico, por ejemplo, distintos trabajos han señalado que en la región patagónica puede identificarse una entonación, melodía o cantito diferente del que se puede percibir en otras zonas del país.<br />Esta investigación se concentra fundamentalmente en el español hablado en distintas localidades y parajes asentados al pie de la meseta de Somuncura (es decir, en los valles y cañadones de la no mesada, en términos de Masera 1998), ubicada en la región centro-sur de la provincia de Río Negro. Utilizamos la expresión español de la meseta (en adelante, EspMes) para referirnos al español hablado en esta región. En el capítulo 1 ofrecemos una justificación más elaborada respecto de esta delimitación geográfica. Por el momento, quisiéramos apuntar simplemente que las localidades donde fueron registrados los datos se ubican en áreas rurales en las que, por razones históricas, sociales y culturales (Masera 1998), ha tenido lugar una situación de contacto lingüístico intenso antes y después de la llegada del Estado argentino a la región. El objetivo principal de este trabajo es describir y analizar los comportamientos prosódicos, sintácticos e informativos de oraciones en EspMes. A partir de estas descripciones, la presente investigación intenta determinar cuáles son los aportes de la prosodia, de la estructura informativa y de la sintaxis en la configuración del cantito identificado por la bibliografía. Nuestra hipótesis de trabajo puede enunciarse como sigue: la estructura prosódica y la estructura informativa están asociadas a los comportamientos sintácticos y el orden lineal en el que ocurren los constituyentes en las oraciones de EspMes. En otras palabras, argumentamos que los comportamientos sintácticos de algunas oraciones en EspMes están fuertemente ligados a la estructura entonativa o canto que mencionábamos anteriormente y al comportamiento informativo de las distintas áreas de la oración. La interacción de estos tres dominios de análisis configura lo que metafóricamente denominamos <em>el canto de la meseta</em>.</p>
