Abstract
A summary of the resource.
<p>El sistema de posesivos de las lenguas romances constituye un ámbito de interés para los estudios sobre el cambio lingüístico. En esta presentación, nos detenemos en algunos cambios registrados en catalán, con el fin de desarrollar una explicación desde el modelo de la Morfología Distribuida. Específicamente, abordamos la formación de los femeninos analógicos y la pérdida de la distinción entre poseedor único y poseedores múltiples para la tercera persona. Nuestra finalidad es responder desde este enfoque las siguientes preguntas: ¿qué cambia? y ¿cómo se puede explicar ese cambio? A partir de este abordaje, concluimos que las modificaciones en el sistema de posesivos del catalán son el resultado de cambios que tienen lugar en la Estructura Morfológica. Asimismo, las discusiones planteadas y la comparación con los posesivos de otras lenguas romances nos permiten presentar argumentos en contra de la direccionalidad del cambio lingüístico.<br /><br /></p>
<p><b>Abstract</b></p>
<p>The possessive system in Romance languages constitutes an interesting area of research on linguistic change. In this presentation, we specifically explore some changes observed in Catalan, in order to develop an explanation within the Distributed Morphology framework. Concretely, we study the development of analogic feminine possessives and the loss of the one-possessor/multiple-possessor distinction in the third person paradigm. Our goal is to answer the following questions in the Distributed Morphology framework: what changes? and how is this change explained? We conclude that the modifications in the possessive system of Catalan are the result of changes in the Morphological Structure. Moreover, following the discussions outlined and the comparison with the possessive systems in other Romance languages we present arguments against the directionality of language change.</p>

<p text="" align="justify">El presente trabajo tiene por objetivo desarrollar un análisis para los nombres de relación (no) simétrica en español que permita dar cuenta de sus propiedades semánticas, sintácticas y morfo-fonológicas. A tal fin, se revisan dos aspectos: por un lado, la relación entre el género y la noción de simetría (‘Esteban es hermano de Ana’ pero ‘Ana es hermana/*hermano de Esteban’) y, por el otro, las alternancias argumentales que se reconocen en estos nombres (‘Esteban es hermano de Ana/Esteban y Ana son hermanos’). Lo novedoso de esta propuesta es que retoma algunas discusiones clásicas, como las referidas al género y a la predicación, y avanza en soluciones que permiten explicar un conjunto de nombres que constituyen una clase natural. Dado que el abordaje de este fenómeno se realiza desde un enfoque neoconstruccionista en el marco de la Morfología Distribuida, un aspecto central es la discusión sobre la individuación de raíces y la relación entre el componente sintáctico y el componente interpretativo. Finalmente, la propuesta busca extender al ámbito nominal la distinción entre elementos relacionales (categorizadores, PLACE) y no relacionales (Sintagmas Determinantes, raíces) para explorar cómo se establecen las relaciones de predicación y referencialidad.<br /><br />Abstract<br /><br />The following paper aims to provide an analysis of (non) symmetric relational nouns in Spanish, accounting for their semantic, syntactic and morpho-phonological characteristics. Accordingly, two aspects are revisited: on the one hand, the relationship between gender and symmetry (Esteban es hermano de Ana ‘Esteban is brother of Ana’, but Ana es hermana/*hermano de Esteban ‘Ana is sister/*brother of Esteban’); and, on the other hand, the alternations regarding the argument structure of these nouns (Esteban es hermano de Ana ‘Esteban is brother of Ana’/Esteban y Ana son hermanos ‘Esteban and Ana are brother and sister’). The novelty of this proposal is that it recovers classical discussions, such as the ones related to gender and predication, and sheds light on a group of nouns that conforms a natural class. Since this research is framed in a neoconstructionist approach like Distributed Morphology, it focuses on the discussion about root individuation and the relationship between syntactic derivation and the conceptual component. Last but not least, it extends the distinction between relational (categorizers, PLACE) and non-relational (DDPP and roots) elements into the nominal scope, in order to explore the difference in predication and referential expressions.</p>

<p text="" align="justify">Una de las lecturas que desencadena la presencia del clítico se en español es la recíproca. A diferencia de la lectura reflexiva, la interpretación recíproca se obtiene únicamente cuando el clítico se vincula a una expresión plural, sea un plural morfológico o sintáctico (i.e., una coordinación). Sin embargo, la presencia de un sintagma comitativo favorece la lectura recíproca aún si la expresión con la que se relaciona el clítico está en singular (Astérix se abrazó con Obélix). Este fenómeno se denomina reciprocidad discontinua (Dimitriadis 2000 y trabajos posteriores) y ha sido estudiado principalmente en las lenguas eslavas. Nuestro objetivo es revisar las características de esta construcción en español y determinar, por un lado, cómo se vincula el sintagma comitativo con el resto de la estructura y, por el otro, cuál es el estatuto del clítico se. A partir de estas discusiones proponemos un análisis en el marco de la Gramática Generativa que permite dar cuenta de las propiedades de ciertos sintagmas preposicionales y de las consecuencias del ensamble de éstos en la estructura general.</p>

<p text="" align="justify">En el presente trabajo se describen los diferentes contextos en los que tiene lugar la concordancia inesperada en español (anotenlon) y se discuten las principales propuestas de análisis sobre este fenómeno. La mayoría de los datos recopilados escapan a las explicaciones sugeridas hasta el momento, ya que ilustran que es posible encontrar todas las posibilidades lógicas para la ocurrencia de la -n enclítica y, además, que el copiado/desplazamiento de la morfología de concordancia se produce también con la primera persona del plural, aunque de manera parcial (anotemoslon).<br /><br />ABSTRACT<br />In this paper, we describe the different linguistic contexts in which unexpected verbal morphology can be found in Spanish dialects and we discuss the main proposals for this phenomenon. Most of the data we present here, which belong to different dialects, are not explained by the research developed so far, because the examples show that all the logic possibilities for the occurrence of enclitic -n can be observed. Moreover, the copy/displacement of agreement morphology also takes place with the first plural person, although it happens in a partial way.</p>

La mayoría de los datos recopilados escapan a las explicaciones sugeridas hasta el momento, ya que ilustran que es posible encontrar todas las posibilidades lógicas para la ocurrencia de la -n enclítica y, además, que el copiado/desplazamiento de la morfología de concordancia se produce también con la primera persona del plural, aunque de manera parcial (anotemoslon).<br /><br />ABSTRACT<br />In this paper, we describe the different linguistic contexts in which unexpected verbal morphology can be found in Spanish dialects and we discuss the main proposals for this phenomenon. Most of the data we present here, which belong to different dialects, are not explained by the research developed so far, because the examples show that all the logic possibilities for the occurrence of enclitic -n can be observed. Moreover, the copy/displacement of agreement morphology also takes place with the first plural person, although it happens in a partial way.</p>

En este trabajo nos proponemos demostrar que este tipo de concordancia puede explicarse por medio de mecanismos vinculados con los mismos factores que intervienen en la concordancia general, i. e., la estructura sintáctica y las operaciones morfológicas. Nuestra investigación se enmarca en el modelo de la Morfología Distribuida (Halle y Marantz 1993) y busca dar cuenta de las concordancias alternantes y del bloqueo de tal alternancia en determinados contextos, a partir de un análisis detallado de la estructura del Sintagma de Determinante y de los rasgos involucrados en las proyecciones funcionales del ámbito nominal.</p>

En 2023, el modelo conocido como Morfología Distribuida cumple 30 años si tomamos como referencia el texto fundacional de Halle & Marantz (1993). El presente manuscrito procura recuperar las características generales del modelo para luego avanzar en algunas de las discusiones actuales como la cantidad de categorizadores propuestos, la revisión de las operaciones postsintácticas y las propiedades de las raíces. Estas son tres líneas de investigación que dan cuenta de las revisiones al modelo y también de las proyecciones a futuro. Finalmente, este estado del arte se detiene en los trabajos pioneros realizados desde este enfoque en Argentina que se han plasmado en tesis y artículos en revistas especializadas.

In 2023, the framework known as Distributed Morphology will be 30 years old if we take as a reference the foundational text by Halle & Marantz (1993). The present manuscript attempts to recover the general features of the model and then to advance in some of the current discussions such as the number of proposed categorizers, the revision of the post-syntactic operations and the properties of roots. These are three lines of research that account for revisions of the model and also for future projections. Finally, this state-of-the-art looks at the pioneering work carried out on this approach in Argentina, which has taken the form of dissertations and articles in specialized journals.

Toda disciplina cuenta con un conjunto de términos y definiciones para describir su objeto de estudio. Estas etiquetas son fundamentales tanto para el análisis como para la comunicación de resultados y la subsiguiente réplica de una metodología de trabajo con otros exponentes de ese objeto. El problema surge cuando las etiquetas se confunden con el objeto mismo y comienzan a tener un rol mucho más protagónico que el científicamente deseable, haciéndonos caer en el conocido “se equivoca el cadáver, que no Galeno”. En estas páginas, proponemos algunas reflexiones que tienen que ver con este problema en el mundo de la lingüística. A tal fin, nos detenemos en las etiquetas que se utilizan para las lenguas, en las etiquetas de las clases de palabras e incluso en la propia etiqueta “palabra”.

Every scientific discipline has a set of terms and definitions to describe its object of study. These labels are fundamental both for the analysis and for the communication of results and the subsequent replication of a work methodology with other exponents of that object. The problem arises when the labels become confused with the object itself and begin to play a much more prominent role than the one desirable in Science, causing us to fall into the well-known statement that “the error is in the corpse, but not in Galen”. The following pages explore this problem in the field of linguistics. To that end, we dwell on the labels used for languages, for word classes and even on label for the word “word” itself.

Los mitos están presentes en diferentes ámbitos. En este ensayo nos centramos en el mito de la dificultad que se plantea en relación con una supuesta falta de lógica. Para desarticular este mito, proponemos un recorrido en torno a uno de los instrumentos musicales más característicos de la música popular argentina, el bandoneón, y a la predicación de dificultad aplicada a ciertas lenguas. Nuestro objetivo es mostrar de qué manera este mito no solo es falaz para lenguas y bandoneones, sino que puede tener un resultado sumamente perjudicial.
Abstract
Myths are found in different fields. In this essay we focus on the myth of difficulty in relation to an apparent lack of reasoning. In order to question this myth, we propose an account of one of the most characteristic instruments in Argentinian popular music, the bandoneon, and of the alleged difficulty associated with some languages. Our goal is to show that this myth is not only false for languages and bandoneons, but it also may result in dangerous consequences for both.

La convocatoria de este dossier sobre enseñanza de la gramática desde una perspectiva formal surge del coloquio que tuvo lugar en el XV Congreso de la Sociedad Argentina de Lingüística durante 2018 y tiene como finalidad promover el intercambio entre docentes-investigadores de Argentina sobre las maneras de abordar la enseñanza de la gramática en distintos niveles educativos. El objetivo de discutir y repensar la enseñanza de la gramática nace de una preocupación compartida con colegas de diferentes puntos del país y del mundo: el peso de la mirada normativa de la lengua que predomina en escuelas, en institutos de educación superior y en la sociedad en general, en desmedro de la posibilidad de un abordaje reflexivo, que tienda a la formulación de preguntas y al planteo de problemas. Esta preocupación ha sido señalada explícitamente por Di Tullio en diferentes manuales, artículos y conferencias (1990, 2005, 2012, 2015), Defagó (2001, 2016), Otañi & Gaspar (2005), por nombrar sólo algunos de los trabajos vinculados con esta problemática en Argentina. En esta presentación, me detendré en los dos problemas que se han señalado como centrales en lo que refiere a la enseñanza de la gramática (§2) y en una descripción resumida de una aproximación formal a esta (§3), para luego exponer brevemente los artículos que conforman el dossier (§4).

La convocatoria de este dossier sobre enseñanza de la gramática desde una perspectiva formal surge del coloquio que tuvo lugar en el XV Congreso de la Sociedad Argentina de Lingüística durante 2018 y tiene como finalidad promover el intercambio entre docentes-investigadores de Argentina sobre las maneras de abordar la enseñanza de la gramática en distintos niveles educativos. El objetivo de discutir y repensar la enseñanza de la gramática nace de una preocupación compartida con colegas de diferentes puntos del país y del mundo: el peso de la mirada normativa de la lengua que predomina en escuelas, en institutos de educación superior y en la sociedad en general, en desmedro de la posibilidad de un abordaje reflexivo, que tienda a la formulación de preguntas y al planteo de problemas. Esta preocupación ha sido señalada explícitamente por Di Tullio en diferentes manuales, artículos y conferencias (1990, 2005, 2012, 2015), Defagó (2001, 2016), Otañi & Gaspar (2005), por nombrar sólo algunos de los trabajos vinculados con esta problemática en Argentina. Los estudios diacrónicos sobre las lenguas han ocupado diferentes lugares en la agenda de la investigación lingüística. Actualmente, en el marco de la Gramática Generativa, el abordaje diacrónico resulta fundamental para indagar en el problema de la adquisición, desde una nueva perspectiva. En este artículo nos centramos en el vínculo entre el cambio lingüístico y la adquisición del lenguaje, a fin de proponer algunas reflexiones sobre los objetivos actuales de la Gramática Generativa en relación con estas dos líneas de investigación.
ABSTRACT
Diachronic studies have received varying degrees of attention in the linguistic research agenda. Currently, in the Generative framework, diachronic approaches have become relevant to the exploration and analysis of the acquisition problem from a new perspective. In this paper, we focus on the relationship between language change and language acquisition, in order to advance some insights on the current goals of Generative Grammar, taking into account both lines of research.

Los estudios diacrónicos sobre las lenguas han ocupado diferentes lugares en la agenda de la investigación lingüística. Actualmente, en el marco de la Gramática Generativa, el abordaje diacrónico resulta fundamental para indagar en el problema de la adquisición, desde una nueva perspectiva. En este artículo nos centramos en el vínculo entre el cambio lingüístico y la adquisición del lenguaje, a fin de proponer algunas reflexiones sobre los objetivos actuales de la Gramática Generativa en relación con estas dos líneas de investigación.
ABSTRACT
Diachronic studies have received varying degrees of attention in the linguistic research agenda. Currently, in the Generative framework, diachronic approaches have become relevant to the exploration and analysis of the acquisition problem from a new perspective. In this paper, we focus on the relationship between language change and language acquisition, in order to advance some insights on the current goals of Generative Grammar, taking into account both lines of research.

<p align="justify">Teniendo en cuenta el proceso de sometimiento de las minorías indígenas en los últimos siglos se habría apoyado fundamentalmente en el desarrollo de mecanismos de "invisibilización", es decir, a su falta de reconocimiento; y por otro lado a un mundo cada vez más globalizado donde internet y la forma de interactuar a través de las redes sociales han abierto el campo del conocimiento y ha permitido conocer nuevas culturas; es de vital importancia no dejar de lado nuestros orígenes. <br />Es fundamental conocer de dónde venimos como sociedad, rescatar los saberes que han estado ahí cerca nuestro, de miembros de la comunidad, para valorar lo que somos, nuestra identidad cultural, habilitar de ésta forma un espacio para reflexionar acerca de los conocimientos, las creencias, el arte, el derecho, la moral, las costumbres y los demás hábitos, capacidades y cualidades adquiridas como miembros activos de la sociedad.</p>

Chicano Identity : The Reconstruction of Mexican Myths by ire'ne lara silva
Abstract

<strong>Introducción.</strong><br />
<p align="justify"><em>flesh to bone (</em>2013) is a collection of nine short stories written by Chicana author ire'ne lara silva. These stories delve into some of the most popular Mexican folk-tales and depict a landscape where everything is possible, the boundaries between life and death are blurred, there are shifting realities, violence, magical transformations and, ultimately, healing. Some folk-tales are widespread like La Llorona, also known as La Malinche, others are myths and stories transmitted by the author's own family. Silva has expressed her fascination with the idea of creating new myths, in ways that build on figures that resonate with other mythic figures: “I believe we have a fundamental need for myth. For stories that are larger than ourselves or our realities, for stories that speak to our culture(s), for stories that teach us something about life” (Silva 2014). In her writing process, Silva rewrites these myths from a feminist and Chicana perspective subverting the underlying patriarchal roles and the boundaries between the living and the dead. In ‘cortando las nubes or death came on horses’ the myth of La Llorona gets reconstructed, she is remembered, respected and understood. Silva manages to give this suffering woman a voice she lacks in the popular version of the horror myth. ‘cortando las nubes or death came on horses’ tells the story of a woman from the Yaqui community and her three children, Marigold, Tomás and Cempasuchil, who are brutally murdered by white colonizers and roam the earth helping indigenous communities and collecting those who die at the hands of the whites. <br />As Norma Alarcón states, “Feminism is a way of saying that nothing in patriarchy truly reflects women unless we accept distortions – mythic and historical” (189). Chicanas, and especially queer Chicanas, occupy a unique position from which they recognize these distortions. Following the ideas presented by Kate Millet, a pioneering author in contemporary feminism, a study that adopts a feminist approach to literature will analyse the patriarchal relationships between characters in the narrative. The present work is intended to analyse ire'ne lara silva’s "cortando las nubes or death came on horses"<span> </span><span>a short story from </span><em>flesh to bone</em><span> (2013) from a feminist perspective. It will be argued that, in her re-imagination of a traditional myth, the author honours and celebrates her identity as Chicana.</span></p>

La enseñanza de las reglas de acentuación en el inglés cobra una gran relevancia para aprendientes hispanohablantes, ya que diversos estudios demuestran que el emplazamiento incorrecto del acento nuclear puede ocasionar interrupciones o dificultades en la comunicación (Hahn, 2004; Levis, 2014). Teniendo en cuenta esto, nos propusimos llevar a cabo una investigación con el fin de explorar la manera en la que se aborda la enseñanza de las reglas de emplazamiento nuclear en el inglés en las carreras del Profesorado y Traductorado en Inglés de la Universidad Nacional del Comahue (UNCo), Argentina. En primer lugar, se llevó a cabo un relevamiento bibliográfico de las investigaciones sobre el aprendizaje de la ubicación del acento nuclear en segundas lenguas, con especial foco en el inglés. Luego, el foco se ubicó en la enseñanza de las reglas de acentuación en el contexto de la UNCo, particularmente en el área de Fonética y Fonología. Se realizó un relevamiento de los contenidos de las distintas asignaturas del área, con especial énfasis en Fonética y Fonología II (FyF II) de ambas carreras, asignatura en la que se imparte instrucción explícita sobre el emplazamiento del acento nuclear en inglés. Por último, se realizó un análisis crítico de la manera en la que se lleva a cabo la enseñanza de las reglas acentuales del inglés en FyF II y se ensayaron algunas propuestas que podrían optimizar el proceso de enseñanza/aprendizaje de dichas reglas.
ABSTRACT
The teaching of accentuation rules in English is highly relevant for Spanish-speaking learners, as various studies demonstrate that incorrect placement of the nuclear accent can lead to interruptions or difficulties in communication (Hahn, 2004; Levis, 2014). Taking this into account, we set out to conduct research to explore how the teaching of nuclear accent placement rules in English is approached in the Teacher Training and Translation programmes in English at Universidad Nacional del Comahue (UNCo), Argentina. Firstly, a bibliographical review of research regarding the learning of nuclear accent placement in second languages, with a special focus on English, was carried out. Subsequently, the focus shifted to the teaching of accentuation rules in the context of UNCo, particularly in the area of Phonetics and Phonology. A survey of the content of different subjects in the area was conducted, with special emphasis on Phonetics and Phonology II (FyF II) in both programmes, which is the subject where explicit instruction on the placement of nuclear accent in English is provided. Finally, a critical analysis of how the teaching of English accentuation rules is carried out in FyF II was conducted, and some proposals to possibly optimise the teaching/learning process of these rules were suggested.

A summary of the resource.
En este libro nos proponemos contribuir a la construcción colectiva del conocimiento desde una mirada crítica e interdisciplinaria. A través de dieciocho capítulos organizados en cuatro ejes —Cultura, Educación, Lingüística y Traducción—, abrimos el diálogo para repensar nuestras prácticas académicas, docentes y profesionales. <br />Desde el eje de Cultura, abordamos temas como identidad, memoria, lenguas indígenas, migraciones y feminismos. En Educación, compartimos experiencias innovadoras basadas en metodologías activas, tecnologías aplicadas y enfoques interdisciplinares. En Lingüística, exploramos el uso de secuencias formulaicas en la enseñanza del inglés con fines específicos. Finalmente, en el eje de Traducción, reflexionamos sobre su enseñanza, el uso de corpus y el subtitulado como herramienta de inclusión y difusión cultural. <br />Con esta obra, que ha sido sometida a revisión por pares ciegos, buscamos enriquecer los espacios de intercambio, aportar a los debates actuales y generar nuevas perspectivas para afrontar los desafíos que atravesamos como profesionales de las lenguas y la educación.
